Rally Obedience

On-Going
For all ages & breeds.

Rally Obedience is taking the competition world by storm and with good reason, it's seriously fun! Devised by Charles L. "Bud" Kramer, he took the typical obedience practice of "doodling" and created something that was not only fun, but actually brought life back into the dying world of obedience competition in 2000. Doodling is an interesting variety of warm-up and freestyle exercises to prepare your dog for the obedience ring, or simply to just have some fun and build a deeper bond.

Unlike regular obedience, instead of waiting for the judge to call out the commands you are to perform, the competitors make their way around a timed course of designated stations with the dog in heel position.

The course consists of 10-20 fun signs that instruct the team what to do. The best part? You are allowed to talk to and encourage your dog throughout the course!

Competing is not required to join us - just the desire to have fun and do more with your dog!

Training will not only enhance the bond you have with your dog, but will help make your canine companion a joy to live with, understand proper manners in the presence of people and other animals, as well as improve the quality of life for both of you.

All dogs, including both purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome to participate and upon successful completion of the basic 10-step test, you and your companion will earn an official certificate from the AKC suitable for framing! This program is one of the most rapidly growing programs and many have recognized the benefits of this certification including state legislatures, home owners insurance, veterinarians, police and animal control agencies and groomers to name a few.

AKC Trick Dog Novice, Intermediate, Advanced & Performer

Certificate | $35
For all dogs that want to do more with their humans, with enrollment in any of our programs.

From the time when trick dogs such as Rin Tin Tin and Lassie won the hearts of children and adults alike, trick dog training has become one of the hottest new areas in dog training. With such dedicated trainers like Kyra Sundance starting the "Do More With Your Dog" movement, the AKC has followed and adopted her trick dog programs much to the delight of dogs everywhere and are doing more with their human companions than ever before!

All ages and breeds, both purebred and mixed can become an official AKC Trick Dog starting with the Novice Trick Dog (TKN) by performing 10 skills from the novice list, or 5 skills with the Canine Good Citizen Certification. Perform 10 intermediate tricks and earn the Intermediate Trick Dog (TKI) title and just 5 tricks from the Advanced list to earn the Advanced Trick Dog (TKA) title! Once you are ready to put these tricks together on video you are able to earn the Trick Dog Performer (TKP) title! As with all three levels of CGC, the AKC Trick Dog titles are cleverly worked into our Therapy dog, Service Dog and Emotional Support Dog programs to ensure pubic access safety, confident companions and dogs that can easily perform tasks needed, like handing you their leash or walking over a bridge.
